Increase in visitors at the Bremen Classic Motorshow

Classic car show grew from 2018

The 17th addition of the Bremen Classic Motorshow came to its conclusion on Sunday, February 3, 2019, reporting a good result. Over the course of the three days, a total of 41,678 visitors attended the event that spread out over eight halls at the Bremen Exhibition Grounds. “We had several reasons to celebrate. The atmosphere on site was exceptionally good. Moreover, we were able to record an increase in visitor numbers compared to the previous year,” explains Project Manager Frank Ruge (2018: 40,931).

The excellent reputation of the Bremen Classic Motorshow as an established meeting place for aficionados and market place for older and younger classic cars is highlighted further in the results of the survey conducted by the event organizers on a regular basis. “Collectors and enthusiasts do not shy away from a long drive to come to our Motorshow to meet kindred spirits and do some shopping. Almost half of our visitors drive between 100 and 300 kilometres to be part of this event. We also had more visitors from Scandinavia in 2019,” adds Hans Peter Schneider, Managing Director of Messe Bremen & ÖVB-Arena, which organizes this event.

The 677 exhibitors from 12 countries were likewise happy. Moreover, in-house productions such as the trading forum “Young Classics” generated strong sales. In addition, the organizers scored points with unique special exhibitions on 20th-century US bikes and rare classic station wagons. Fairgoers also loved the classic bicycles – a collectors’ topic the organizers want to continue to promote in 2020.
