V8 MOVIESTARS – movie heroes in metal

V8 fans will be happy once again. After the “Survivor” in 2018, the Bremen Classic Motorshow 2019 has teamed up with Helge Thomsen from publisher Motoraver to present six 8-cylinder vehicles from the entertainment industry. Naturally, leading characters in major TV series and films need the right set of wheels to achieve big success.
Six true-to-life replicas of famous movie cars from the 1970s and 1980s will be on display at the Bremen Classic Motorshow for the first time in a truly cinematic presentation. A treat for fans of the music film is the Blues Brothers’ Bluesmobile, a 1974 Dodge Monaco. Famous from Mad Max is the V8 Interceptor, an augmented 1973 Ford Falcon XB GT that packs a punch of almost 600 hp. In comparison, the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard, with “only” 350 hp, seems a little puny. But with a 6.2-litre engine, the 1969 Dodge Charger comes with an impressive cylinder capacity. An amazing twenty 1958 Plymouth Fury cars were wrecked during filming of the horror picture Christine. In Bremen, the vengeful car is likely to cause shivers down the spine of some moviegoers. Completing the set of V8 movie stars are Bullitt, a 1968 Dodge Charger from the film of the same name and a 1982 Pontiac TransAM named Kitt from the action series Knight Rider.
The stand in Hall 6 will also show trailers for the films and extras such as an old projector and decorative film reels provided by Bremen cinema Kino City 46.
